The Do’s

There are actually very many things you should do on a Uganda Road Trip and among them include:

-Ensure that you fill your car before setting off to your desired destinations simply because the most touristic destinations in Uganda are located in remote areas where there are no petrol stations.

-Make sure that you travel with enough changed money to local currency.

-Check your hired car thoroughly well to ensure it has no problem, and if you find any slight problem on it, please photograph it to avoid misunderstandings with your car hire personnel when you return back the car.

-You are highly emphasized to make use of the road signs (in Uganda they keep left)

-First read through the companies’ terms and conditions before you set forth

-Inquire about the driving tips especially when you are a first timer

-Do not over speed as this can easily cause accidents

-Do not drive while drunk

-Do not drive while on phone, you are expected to use both of your hands while driving and not one.

-While on a Uganda Road Trip, do not give lift to people you pass by on the road sides as you don’t know their behaviors.

-Do not dare drive at night

-Don’t be more adventurous than you should be. Avoid short cuts while driving because the fact is you are a stranger in the country and you may get lost.

-Do not over rely on the GPS. It is advisable to move with both a travel maps and a GPS.
