No matter where you are or need to go, 4×4 Car Hire Uganda has the right car rental service for you. The company is easy to communicate with. Professional with paperwork and payments. Website is a very good source of information. Amazing to explore this amazing country Uganda. This is how all car rentals should be.

Our adventure started at the airport in Entebbe and ended in the same place after one last fun night in Kampala. In between there were wonderfully chaotic days, lots of laughter, joy, enthusiasm, music, great impressions of Uganda, touching encounters with the locals, numerous wishes fulfilled

Having been through most of southern and Eastern Africa on self-drive I can say that the service, vehicle options and communication make this a stand out company highly recommend. We rented a Land cruiser 4×4 with Roof Tent for a 21 days self-driving safari from 4×4 Car Hire Uganda.

The communication from Germany by email was excellent. We received the offer immediately according to all our wishes. In addition, we received many helpful information to plan a 4x4 Landcruiser for Hire.

Our fantastic Toyota Land Cruiser with rooftop tent was delivered at the airport and carried us and our roof tent faithfully across the roads of Uganda. It was a high-quality vehicle supported by excellent service at a reasonable price. The perfect way to explore Uganda!

Uganda exceeded our expectations on every front. The landscapes are breathtaking, the people are genuinely warm and friendly, the food was great, and we saw just about every animal we wished to see on safari. I would definitely recommend Uganda as a destination for those looking to safari in East Africa without as many of the crowds.

We drove about 3000 km, starting from Entebbe over Lake Mburo, Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale, Murchison, Ziwa Rhino Camp and back to Entebbe. When we set out on our trip, we didn’t expect to see each and every animal as advertised. However, we did! It was better than we imagined. We saw a 3-month-old rhino, a pride of lions, and the “rare” leopard. Our guide, helped us spot the elusive leopard on four occasions, how lucky!

We enjoyed Murchison Falls National Park on self-drive. Although the wildlife viewing is excellent in this park, it is the scenery that really gets to me: the rolling grassy hills studded with Borassus palms teeming with plains animals, the papyrus swamps home to the sought-after shoe bill stork and forests inhabited by chimpanzees.

But, the main feature in the park is the Victoria Nile. A highlight to any visit is a boat trip up the Nile to one of the most spectacular sights of water pushing through a cleft in the escarpment: Murchison Falls.

Beautiful scenery and lots of game. Two different encounters with leopards were highlights of our trip. We observed a bachelor group of elephants making mischief, walked behind a chimp, had a hippo nearly visit our cottage porch, and spent the most magical hour with a gorilla family.

This self-drive takes you past some of the most magnificent highlights in Kibale Forest National Park. Chimp trekking at Kibale was really great, we enjoyed walking through the forest and then ultimately seeing the chimps, at first, they were in the trees and hard to see and photograph but later they came down to the ground and it was amazing to watch them and their interaction with each other, our guide was very good and we would do this experience again if we ever return to Uganda.

A beautiful road trip through Queen Elizabeth National Park.  It is a vast park by any standards making it virtually important to cover all in a day or two. We visited the Ishasha sector twice and the Kazinga Channel. We photographed the most beautiful, perfect male lion standing out on a tree branch in Ishasha.

It was magical! Great sightings including early morning drives across the Savannah to see elephants, giraffes, Uganda Kob, baboon, colobus monkeys, hyenas and lions! The lodging, food and service was excellent.

The absolute highlight was gorilla trekking.  Most of the tour 4x4s assemble around 7 am for the registering and briefing, and then the people are divided into small groups of about 6-8 people. Each group tracks a specific gorilla family. From here your driver takes you to the drop off point where you begin the tracking. Off it went, around 2 hours up the mountains. And then – suddenly – you see them. A tick in the bucket list for a few, a lifetime experience for the majority.

Relaxed sitting in the bushes, protected by the Silver Back, now, face to face you will understand the majesty of these endangered species. 1h you can spend around, just watching, taking millions of photos. 7 meter is the magic number, but what to do when the Gorilla is coming closer and you stuck between the bush and trees. It was amazing!

One of Uganda’s few Savannah parks, Lake Mburo is easily accessible thanks to its central location off the main road that crosses between Kampala and the forested reserves and parks in the west. We spotted a mother and young leopard on the prowl during the night game drive at Lake Mburo, and more. We certainly felt well cared for, and in good hands.

I recommend 4×4 Car Hire to everybody who is interested to rent a Toyota Land cruiser, the most reliable car and well known in that part of Africa. If there is any trouble with the car, there can be find mechanics used to repair such a car in every part of Uganda.
